June 9-11 Lewis & Clark Festival Onawa, IA
The festival has a replica of the keelboat used during the Lewis & Clark journey through our area in 1804.  Many events are held during the weekend including a black powder shot.  Plenty of food and fun for all, including a pancake feed on Sunday.  Boat rides weather permitting.  Festival held at the Lewis & Clark State Park.

August 19-20 Sgt. Floyd Memorial Encampment Sioux City, IA
An 1804 Living History Encampment on the grounds of the Sgt. Floyd Welcome Center.  Visitors can examine authentic tents, camp equipment, uniforms and firearms.  Activities both days will include an 1804 reveille and flag-raising ceremony, periodic musters and inspections and arms drills.

TBA Elk Point Lewis & Clark Heritage Days Elk Point, SD
Visitors to Elk Point Heritage Days get to experience a re-enactment of the election of Patrick Gass to replace Sgt. Floyd who died in Sioux City.  A military encampment and demonstrations are also held at the event.

September 4 The Corp Returns to Sioux City Sioux City, IA

The Discovery Expedition of St. Charles, Missouri, The Discovery Corps of Omaha and  the local Sgt. Floyd Honor Guard will present a living history camp at the Sgt. Floyd River Museum and Welcome Center at 1000 Larsen Park Road.  The Discovery Expedition of St. Charles will arrive by canoe the evening of the 3rd.  It will dock at the Mlr Tym Marina, just south of the Welcome Center. Hours 9am-5pm.
A Memorial Ceremony for Sgt. Floyd will be held at the Floyd Monument located on South Lewis Blvd at 7:30PM.  Beverly Hinds will be the MC and Pat Day will portray Sgt. Floyd's mother.  The burial re-enactment will include Mike Berger as Capt. Lewis and Bud Clark as Capt. Clark.  Soliloquies from several members of the expedition will be part of the program.
