old loop that was cut off when the river formed a new course years ago is
now a 250-acre oxbow lake, Blue Lake. The state park holds an annual
Lewis & Clark Festival every summer. Replicas of the Keelboat
and pirogues used by the Corps of Discovery are docked at the lake.
